Wealth is a Mindset!
A Wealth mindset is a set of beliefs, habits, and behaviors that separates the wealthy from the rest. A wealth mindset will guide you to make the most of the money you have.
So, a
wealth and prosperity mindset would mean an attitude or inclination that causes
us to focus on abundance. Many people define wealth
within a spectrum of many different values. Wealth can also be defined within
the context of monetary accumulation, good health or living a desired
lifestyle.
Going from that point of
recognition, it is important you begin to recognize what develops a
wealthy mindset. Even with these different variations of what can be
defined as wealth; the key component within the equation is a mind which
welcomes wealth within its confines.
There are
typically one of two beliefs people have when it comes to building wealth:
those that know without a doubt that they’ll reach their goal eventually, and
those who laugh at the idea of getting out
of debt.
How to
Develop A Wealthy Mindset
Many people have a generalization of what is considered wealth. But,
everyone does not have the ability to possess true wealth within their lives.
This is because their mindset denies them the ability to think wealthy. Their
mindset is stuck within the cages of mediocrity and victimization.
If you want to be able to develop a wealthy mindset, which leads you to
create powerful wealth for yourself, follow these necessary steps.
1. Define
Your Desired Wealth
This is not where you do the typical generalization of a big house,
three luxury vehicles and a closet full of designer clothing. You want to move
beyond the typical definition applied by those who only dream of wealth but
don’t change themselves nor actually work hard for wealth.
When I say define your desired wealth, I want you to be as detailed and
specific as possible:
·
Create an outline of your desired mindset
·
Create an outline of your desired professional work life
·
Create an outline of your desired lifestyle
2. Create
Actions & Behaviors that Reinforce Your Mindset
Thoughts are nothing but wishes without applying actions that bring them
into fruition. For example, you are on the couch thinking about how you want to
be successful.
But after two hours have passed, you remain in
the same position. You are just sitting there and hoping and
wishing, rather than getting off and doing!
In order to develop the wealth which you desire, you have to put in
massive effort to actually produce that wealth. This means eliminating actions
and behaviors which hold you back.
Don’t know what I am talking about? Well let me tell you:
·
Wasting time watching hours of television
·
Wasting time on social media discussing gossip
·
Sleeping in late because it’s the weekend
·
Spending money to impress rather than spending money to improve and grow
·
Avoiding to read because you find it boring
3. Adopt
a Growth Mindset and Focus on Learning Over Achievement
When you focus on a growth
mindset, you embrace all the things that have felt threatening: challenge,
struggle, criticism, and setbacks.
When you embrace the tough
stuff, you open yourself up to fully realize your potential and all that you
can be. Instead of depending on luck or “natural” talent, you focus on
developing your skills and abilities and learning from your efforts.
4. Watch whom you spend time with
Spend time with battery chargers, not battery suckers. Hang out with intellectual people who are similar to them or even more successful. Their relationships have a give-and-take balance to it. They stay away from takers.
5. Happiness, Prosperity, and Success
One of the most common misperceptions about wealth
is that achieving some monetary goal will make you happy.
It’s true that having more money allows for greater
financial freedom in life, which can be seen as a facet of happiness — but true
happiness doesn’t come from anything outside of you.
Happiness is a state of mind.
If you
want to be happy, then you must decide to be happy now — regardless of your problems and challenges. Just
having a ton of money in the bank won’t make problems go away unless those problems
are directly related to a lack of money.
No matter
what you do, there will always be issues and events that threaten to detract
from your satisfaction and happiness.
Mastering this skill
alone can make you the richest person on the planet!
6. We All Have
Interests that Can Blossom into Abilities
“The same is true for every prodigy Winner
describes. Most often people believe that the ‘gift’ is the ability
itself. Yet what feeds it is that constant,
endless curiosity and challenge seeking.
Enjoy the process of
becoming what you’re capable of.
In the words of Steve
Maraboli:
“Once your mindset changes, everything on
the outside will change along with it.”
